Sponsored by the Northern Virginia alumnae chapter of Delta Gamma

A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded in the Spring and presented to the scholarship recipient at the Northern Virginia alumnae chapter 's Founders' Day Luncheon. To be eligible for the scholarship, an applicant must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a Delta Gamma collegian who is a resident of the region associated with the Northern Virginia alumnae chapter of Delta Gamma, and is attending a college or university in the fall of 2008.


  • OR

  • Be a Dues-paying member of the Northern Virginia alumnae chapter of Delta Gamma, and has returned or will be returning to school to obtain an Undergraduate or Graduate degree, and is attending school in the fall of 2008.

The Scholarship Committee is looking for a Delta Gamma who is motivated to achieve individual goals she sets for herself and demonstrates a commitment to making Delta Gamma a part of her life both now and in the future. Both Undergraduate and Graduate students are encouraged to apply.

In addition to the completed application, each applicant must submit: 1) a current transcript, and 2) a letter of recommendation from someone not related to the applicant and has known the applicant for at least one year. If additional space is needed to answer questions, please use a separate sheet of paper which should be attached to the application. All attached pages must include the name of the applicant in the upper right hand corner page.

Applications will be evaluated on criteria that include a well-defined sense of personal and/or professional goals, participation in academic associations, grades, non-academic extra-curricular activities (e.g. community service), and involvement in Delta Gamma activities and overall contribution to the Delta Gamma Fraternity.
